- The Suburban Lesbians of Michigan - The Suburban Lesbians of Michigan was created on September 16, 2002. SLOM was created for lesbians living in Michigan to meet one another. The group works to set up events like going to bars/clubs, having dinner, and anything else that leads to meeting new friends and having good conversation. SLOM also focuses on working within the community and helping out GLBT organizations. SLOM is a place where women of all ages, races, and backgrouds can gather, talk, and share. A place where we can be ourselves and be respected for doing so.
