A surprisingly well-written, hot book of gay erotica I found "Cock Tales" to be a great read: sexy, well-written, sometimes funny, sometimes touching, even sometimes haunting. The stories avoid the standard porn cliches and actually have real plots and characters. The only quibble I might have is with the story titles, which sometimes get a little silly ("Fireman Nick Slides Down the Pole", "69ing on a Stormy Sea")but the actual stories are well-crafted and fun to read. I highly recommend the book.

I have read several books by Jack Hart, and Heat is fasinating and invocative. When I first started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. Hart goes into great detail describing the charaters, but it backfired of him this time. About 2/3 into the book, I though I would die if I read about one more blond head, blue eyed person. It appears that Hart ran out of pictures in his head to write about. The premise is that these are true stories, but it becomes obvious that Hart was creating these stories himself. It took away from the erocticism. For these who love to endulge in autoeroctocism, this could be one of the better books on the market. I really enjoyed my time with the book once I overlooked the flaws.

Great book... so sexy it *hurts*!!!!!!!! This book is incredible... at first the plot, with it's premise of sorcery based on sexual acts, may seem a bit contrived. However, the reader soon forgets about all of this as s/he is drawn into the story. The characters are really well done and extremely likable.They each have their own unique qualities and personalities that add a lot to the story. The emotional bond between them is very well-written also, and it makes their sexual adventures that much sexier. This is definitely the most arousing book I have ever read.
